Each October we gear up our fundraising efforts for breast cancer research. This October we have a display right when you come in the front door of pink merchandise. Twenty percent of the purchase price of any pink item purchased all month will be donated to the local chapter of the Soroptimists and the Susan G. Komen3-Day Walk for the Cure. We are also offering an evening cooking class on Thursday, October 28, 6:00 to 8:30 pm with all proceeds going to these two worthy organizations. The class should be a whole lot of fun with Shari and Rob, Marsha and Bob, and Chef Pam all contributing a course. The menu will be: Paula Deen’s Tomato Tart, Caprese Salad with Avocado, Chicken Provencal, Broccoli and Cheese Sauce, and a wonderful pink-hued Raspberry Amaretto Mousse.
